Communist Legend Dies
Peter Symon 1922 - 2008
We regret to announce the death of Comrade Peter Symon, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Australia on Thursday, 18th December.
Comrade Symon was a life-long Communist and Australia's greatest Marxist. He gave his life to the Party and the struggle of the workers for real change. His contribution was through difficult times. Not once did Comrade Peter waver from the principles of Marxism-Leninism. His philosophical and dialectical materialist approach kept our Party on course through the most trying times. Our ongoing unity and determination to win a socialist future lies at the heart of our memories and our respect for our leader and teacher.

It is very sad to hear that news. My thoughts are with comrade Symon's family. Who will be the new General Secretary? Will it be the acting General Secretary or the President?
It's not decided as yet. It may be a secretariat rather than a secretary. We will keep readers up-to-date on this blog.
